MP-Web Containers and Preservatives
How to track and record Containers and Preservatives in MP-Web
Introduction
As part of the Monitoring Schedules, MonitorPro supports users' ability to track the required sample containers and preservatives. Most laboratories mandate specific container types applicable to the required analysis to ensure the integrity of the sample and avoid contamination. Some laboratories also mandate using certain preservatives to stabilise the sample and ensure accurate analysis. In MonitorPro, the required containers can then be linked to the Sample Templates, which mandate the required analysis.
Containers
Under the Control Panel/Sample Templates, there is an area to configure the required sampling containers. Add the applicable Containers, along with the Volume and any required Label information.
Preservatives
As with the Containers add the required Preservatives that are required.
Note
This setup is generic; however, some fields are required when using the ALS eCOC process from MonitorPro. In these cases, the container name should match that provided by ALS in the eQuote or information that is provided.
Association to Sample Templates
To enable the tracking of Containers and Preservatives in the subsequent Monitoring Schedules they need to be added to the applicable Sample Templates. Add the required Containers and Preservatives as configured in the previous step applicable to each Sample Template.
Note
See the Sample Template section for more details, but the basic concept is that each Sample Template matches the laboratory suites of analysis.
MP-Field
Once the Containers and Preservatives have been setup and associated with the Sample Templates, they will be available to technicians via MP-Feild as below. This will give then direction as to what containers they should collect.
