MP-Desktop System Options Control Panel Settings
How to use the MP-Desktop Control Panel System Options
Introduction
These settings are focused on a number of the Control Panel functions including Compliance and Calculations.
Control Panel
Compliance Grid Settings - Toggles the Audit Controls in the (legacy) Compliance Grids.
Compliance Mode - Users have the choice of setting Compliance validation to be Immediate or Server. Having this set to Immediate, calculation of compliance breaches happens after changes to the Compliance. If set to Server then the calculation of compliance breaches will happen on the Server when the Validator next runs (typically within a few minutes). Typically the Server setting is more efficient.
Calculations overwriting non-calculated readings - The Calculator will not by default over-write data that already exists in the database or has been manually edited (for example data previously calculated then edited). MonitorPro can be set to overwrite edited and imported data but should be done with care and understanding of the implications when setting up Calculations.
Google Earth - This setting is used to output KML files or attempt to launch Google Earth. This setting is useful in setups where Google Earth is not installed on the local machine (such as thin client environments like Citrix).
