Managing Contacts in MP-Web
Contacts can be added, updated, or deleted. Simply click on the Edit button to bring up the properties. These contacts can be named individuals, roles, or even groups of individuals.
Tip
If Contacts are created as Roles 'Environment Manager' etc then it can be more flexible long term should individuals change Role. To make updates users can then amend the associated user and email to the Role/Contact in one single place and negate the need to make numerous changes to other configurations.
The edit enables the contact's properties to be managed.
Note
Only contacts with email addresses will be accessible when configuring where alerts are to be sent.
Tip
Multiple emails can be allocated to a single Contact to create contact groups
Contacts can also be associated with a User of MonitorPro. This controls access to some areas of the application such as Responsibilities in MP-Field. Ensure the correct contact is associated with the appropriate user when configuring Responsibilities in Monitoring Schedules.
