MonitorPro Version 21.1 Release Notes

Release Notes for MonitorPro v21.1

Introduction
MonitorPro version 21.1 is a revision release based on the major.minor.revision convention. There remain no known significant software defects to be resolved within this version. EHS Data has tested each of the items included within the release to the documented standard, and the release consists of a detailed pre-release test.

The following details some of the main functional changes and additions to MonitorPro v21.1. Incremental releases from v20 won't be included on our Website but will be rolled out to all hosted clients. The main releases will remain downloadable, and any significant software defects will be resolved. The fix will then be rolled back into these builds.

Global

Search

The search function has been improved throughout the application. Now searching will return entries where the search criteria match the long or the short name of the Object. As with the below in the Import Processor, even without the Site/Aspect being allocated, the search will return objects globally which meet the criteria.

Dashboard

Photos and Text Widgets

v21.1 includes several new Widgets, including Photos and Text. The photos enable the inclusion of either static or dynamic options. The Text widget enables the addition of narrative or titles to Dashboards, providing a broader context.

Print to PDF

Dashboards can now be printed as PDFs for wider sharing of content stored in MonitorPro. Combined with images, titles and text, the Dashboards can now be used more extensively as a powerful report-building tool for stakeholder reporting needs.

Tables

Sample Point Header

A further base type of Sample Point Header has now been added to the range of templates. Similar to a Variable Grid, but pivoted, this layout allows data to be displayed with Sample Points as the primary columns in the grid-based table.

Monitoring Scheduler

Ad hoc

The Ad hoc Monitoring Schedule logic has been updated better to accommodate non-periodic, non-routine, or one-off monitoring events. Previously, each time an event like this needed to be completed, the entire setup had to be made from scratch. Now, Ad hoc 'templates' can be made to accommodate the type of monitoring required, but without any set frequency.   This will create a Monitoring Schedule as a template, but it will not automatically make repeated Visits. These templates can also be accessed in the Field to accommodate events which aren't planned, such as investigations or events typical in ecology monitoring.

MP-Field

Sample Point instructions/comments

Sample Point comments or instructions can now be added to give Technicians additional information in the field about the location, health and safety or access-related details.

Report and Export generation

Users in the field can now trigger preconfigured reports or exports from MP-Field. These might be, for example, the generation of a CoC once the monitoring is complete.

Mapping Layers

Users can now toggle on the HERE mapping layers while using MP-Field. These can help users better navigate unfamiliar local locations and orient themselves with the sampling points. This currently requires the user's device to have a form of internet connection to load the tiles and meet third-party licensing restrictions.

General

The update generally includes completing around x discrete product backlog items, bug fixes and performance improvements from v21.
