Release Notes for MonitorPro v20
Introduction
MonitorPro version 20 is a minor release based on the major.minor.revision convention. There remain no known significant software defects to be resolved within this version. EHS Data has tested each of the items included within the release to the documented standard, and the release consists of a detailed pre-release test.
The below details some of the main functional changes and additions to MonitorPro v20. Incremental releases from v19 won't be included on our Website but will be rolled out to all hosted clients. The main releases will remain downloadable, and any significant software defects will be resolved. The fix will then be rolled back into these builds.
MP-Field
Sampling instructions
The MP-Field tab allows users to configure additional information to be displayed in the MP-Field. These would typically be additional sampling instructions, working procedures, or other verbose descriptions that cannot be accommodated in the Variable name.
Containers
Any containers or Preservatives associated with a Monitoring Schedule will now be visible to users in MP-Field. These can be used to assist the technicians in knowing the correct containers to use for the required analysis.

Graphing
Now, there is an option to toggle the points and connecting lines on a plot to suit requirements. Toggle the icon for the desired option.

There are now more unified options to enable the inclusion of axis titles to charts being downloaded (exported as an image) or when adding to the Dashboard.
Monitoring Schedules ALS eQuote
Australian Laboratory Services (ALS) is a multi-national laboratory servicing the analytical needs of many mutual MonitorPro clients. They produce an eQuote that details the analytical requirements a client has requested, the cost, and the applicable containers for sampling. MonitorPro can now accept this eQuote (provided as an XML) to automate the creation of Sample Templates, which are the basis for the MonitorPro Monitoring Scheduler. General Calculator
The General Calculator now provides the same functionality in MP-Web as the Generic and Specific Calculators in MP-Desktop. The General Calculator page offers more details, completing the full suite of Calculation functions in MP-Web.
Object Audit
MonitorPro tracks the audit history of object changes. These can now be managed in a single location and filtered by object type. Users can drill into the object where available to see the details of what has been updated.
MP-Desktop and MP-Web
Multi Column Aliasing
Data from some external sources has a shared or single key identifier, typical for PI, SCADA, and other process control systems. This can create challenges in decoding the single identifier into the constituent objects within MonitorPro. In the past, this has typically been done with preprocessing macros and look-up files. Now, there is functionality to support this natively within MonitorPro using the Multi-Column Aliasing.
Conditional Aliasing
Aliasing can now be conditional based upon information included at import other than the direct object. This can be used in examples such as Total and Dissolved Metals, where the lab import doesn't define the status in the name but only via the Method.

The update generally includes completing around 424 discreet product backlog items, bug fixes and performance improvements from v19.2.
